Harriet Hastings comes up with some edible treats

articlemain

If you fancy a change from donuts this Chanucah, Harriet Hastings has the perfect treat.

Her company, Biscuiteers, have come up with a new line of Chanucah-themed biccies.

Ms Hastings, 45, founded the company three years ago. She tells People: "This is the first time we have done a Chanucah range. It seemed like a good fit for us. Chanucah is about exchanging gifts and that fits in well with what Biscuiteers is all about. "We would love to do more Jewish ranges. This is a first step for us so we will see how well they are received."

Ms Hastings left a career in marketing and PR to set up Biscuiteers, which has a factory in Kennington, South London. The company produces around 11,000 biscuits a week. The Chanucah collection includes dreidles, menorahs, havdalah candles and Stars of David - all edible of course.

The mother-of-four says: "The cupcake culture is very well-established but the good thing about biscuits is that you can do a lot more with them thematically."

Biscuiteers supplies its goodies to top-end department stores Harrods, Selfridges and Liberty of London. It also does a lot of bespoke and corporate work. Clients have included Gucci, French Connection, Yahoo and L'Oreal.

The biscuits, which are vegetarian, cost £38.50 for a tin of 16. Happy Chunucah!
