The organisers of the Glastonbury Festival have apologised for the display of a poster suggesting that Jews control the media.

The framed image, measuring around four feet by two feet, was hung in the Shangri-La art section of the festival and featured the words "There are 500 Newspapers, 100 Magazines, 9000 Radio Stations + 2400 Publishers - All Controlled by Six Corporations - The Six Are Owned By Rothschild".

It included logos of the six companies in question - Warner Brothers, Viacom, General Electric, Newscorp, CBS and Disney. None of the companies in question are owned by N M Rothschild & Sons.

One festival-goer, who did not wish to be named, said he complained to five members of the festival staff but they ignored him. He then stationed himself next to the poster to explain to people who saw it that "it was factually incorrect and a popular conspiracy that Jews control the media".
