Showbiz sisters Gina and Mazz Murray have become regular fixtures on the London West End theatre circuit.

Gina, 34, is playing Mama Morton in musical Chicago, while her younger sister, Mazz, 32, is starring as Killer Queen in We Will Rock You. She is thought to be the longest-serving cast member in the show, having been in the original ensemble when the musical opened in May 2002.

Gina tells People: "Chicago is an amazing show and I've wanted a part in it for a long time."

Born into a showbiz family - their father is songwriter Mitch Murray and their mother film actress Grazina Frame - the duo say they grew up thinking it was the norm to be in the entertainment industry. Both went on to train at Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead. Gina has since had leading roles in Fame and The Full Monty, while Mazz's theatre credits also include Fame, in addition to Rent, Boogie Nights and Fiddler on the Roof. "I love it," says Mazz. "It's a very, very lucky position to be in." However, she acknowledges there is one drawback: "We have to book holidays if we want to see each other perform."

Offstage, they are silent partners in kosher restaurant The Kanteen in Bushey, Hertfordshire, which is run by their mother, her partner and Mazz's Israeli boyfriend. Gina, whose husband is an armed-response police officer, says: "Our partners love coming to, and criticising, our performances. They think they're Simon Cowell." Gina lives in Finchley, North London, and Mazz lives in Shenley, Hertfordshire.
