Gerald Ronson's feng-shui time capsule

articlemain

Businessman Gerald Ronson has placed a specially selected time-capsule in the foundations of his new project Heron Tower, including a feng-shui tortoiseshell.

Placing a tortoiseshell in the foundations of the building is a feng-shui practice for good luck, because the tortoise represents a strong back, protection and security.

The time capsule will also include a Heron International brochure, signed drawings by the architect, Leo Polisano, the notice of planning permission for the tower, the Evening Standard from June 18 2008 containing an interview with Gerald Ronson, a copy of the Financial Times from 16 July 2009 and photos of the site prior to demolition

The 46 storey tower is in line to become the City of London’s tallest building.
