The family of two British sisters who were feared kidnapped and taken to Gaza by Hamas have confirmed one of them is dead.
Yahel, 13, disappeared after the terrorists stormed the Be'eri Kibbutz in southern Israel close to the eastern border with the Gaza strip. Her mother, Lianne, who was born in Bristol was killed in the attack.
Their family, who have not released their surname have confirmed Yahel is dead. Her 16-year-old sister Noiya and the girls' father, Eli are still missing.
The sisters had not been heard from since the terror group launched its attack across the border on October 7, according to the family.
On Monday, Lianne's British family described her as "a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend who enriched the lives of all those lucky enough to have known and loved her".
"She lived a beautiful life and will be sorely missed by the heartbroken family and friends she leaves behind," they said in a tribute shared with the BBC.
Speaking while they were holding out hope Yahel with still alive but missing, her family described the teenager as "funny, all the time" and said she loved to sing and dance.
