Emma Barnett has said antisemitism is the worst of all the forms of online abuse she receives.

Speaking about her new book,Period. It’s About Bloody Time, an attempt to get women to talk more openly about menstruation, the BBC presenter told the Sunday Times Magazine that most online abuse she receives doesn’t bother her, saying “I’m OK with sexism, I’m OK with ‘you look shit’, I’m quite good at laughing at the misogynistic stuff.”

However, Ms Barnett, who has made a name for herself as an interviewee who eviscerates unprepared politicians, said that antisemitic abuse did upset her.

The Radio 5 Live presenter and Newsnight host, who grew up in the Manchester Jewish community, said: “I really don’t want that to be a thing in the country I live in — or anywhere.”
