Actor-turned-producer Elliott Seller says he knows all too well how hard it is to make it in the media and entertainment world.
Now a successful television and film producer, he has co-founded a website to help others in the industry.
Formed with fellow producer Tony Craig, talentandproduction.com is a free online resource which aspiring entertainment professionals can use to network, edit and upload videos, and cut their own show-reels.
There is also a downloadable Photoshop application, a job matching facility and a chat forum.
Twenty-five-year-old Mr Seller, who has just completed a television series for the Sky channel Living, tells People: “Both Tony and I recognised how hard it was for those in the entertainment and media world to earn a living and to keep paying to promote themselves.
“We were really frustrated that there were sites out there where you can put up your CV but have to pay £20 a month, which is a lot for a young actor.”
Launched in September, more than 1,000 people have signed up to the website.
A former pupil at King Solomon High School in Essex, Mr Seller went on to study drama at Westminster Kingsway College.
He pursued an acting career for more than 10 years, landing various roles in commercials and television dramas before turning his hand to production.
He enrolled at the Met Film School at Ealing Studios and completed a film and television course headed up by eminent film producer Jonny Persey.
