Edwin Marcow turns his lens from beasts to humans

articlemain

Award-winning wildlife photographer Edwin Marcow has taken to shooting a different species — humans.

The 39-year-old, perhaps best known for his photojournalism, has set up a studio which provides photography for simchahs and commercial occasions. Assignments include weddings, events, portraits, underwater shots and corporate jobs — he has also been commissioned by the Home Office.

He tells People: “I love shooting and I love dealing with people. I had been doing it quietly anyway so thought, why not do it formally? Whether I’m photographing Great Whites or people, I love the challenge.”

South Africa-born, now living in London, Mr Marcow is credited as being one of the best photographers in the world. His work is featured in The World’s Top Photographers: Photojournalism.
