Drake has put the rumour mill to rest after admitting he has a secret son.
The Jewish rapper ended speculation about a love child he was alleged to have fathered with French porn star Sophie Brussaux with the release of his new album Scorpion, in which he admits “She not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine”.
Last month rival rap star Pusha-T exposed Drake with his track The Story of Adidon, rapping: “A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap / We talkin’ character, let me keep with the facts / You are hiding a child, let that boy come home.”
This forced 31-year-old Drake to publically admit the existence of his son Adonis and he did so with his own track March 14.
“Yesterday morning was crazy / I had to come to terms with the fact that it’s not a maybe / That s*** is in stone, sealed and signed / She not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine.”
The Canadian rapper continues: “Single father, I hate when I hear it” and “Now I’m embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent / Always promised the family unit”.
He has been financially supporting the mother of his child whilst making numerous trips to see his son over the past seven months, following a paternity test to confirm he was the child’s father, according to TMZ.com.
Coincidentally Adonis shares his birthday with his father: October 24th.
