Doctors from across Europe and Israel will be in the UK next week to discuss medical issues affecting Jews.
Hosted by the Jewish Medical Association and the World Fellowship of the Israeli Medical Association, the European Jewish Medical Forum will take place over three days in central London.
On the agenda are discussions on genetic conditions and “recent controversies about circumcision”.
Experts from Denmark, Italy, Switzerland and the UK will debate “how improved methods of autopsy are being used in the UK.”
Also planned is an update on Israeli doctors’ role in the rehabilitation of people caught up in last year’s Gaza conflict, in the ongoing Syrian conflict and in countries affected by the Ebola virus.
In addition, medics will explore “the issues that confront Jewish physicians when they encounter antisemitism and anti-Israel propaganda.”
