The developer behind Canary Wharf in London has died aged 83.
Born in Vienna in 1930, Paul Reichmann fled to Paris with his family in 1939 to escape the Nazis.
After the war, Mr Reichmann took a Talmudic studies course in Britain and then Israel, where he became a rabbi.
In 1956 he emigrated to Canada, where he founded what was to become one of the largest commercial property companies in the world.
Olympia & York built the World Financial Centre in New York, Canada’s tallest building, First Canadian Palace, and Canary Wharf in London’s East End.
