X Factor favourite Honey G has denied using racist language during her performance on the show on Saturday.

The rapper said she did not use the N-word during her version of Kriss Kross' 1993 classic, Jump.

However viewers of the ITV show claimed they heard the aspiring rapper use the offensive language when she performed the song.

Honey G, whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford responded to criticism on Twitter by saying: "To be clear I did not use any offensive language.

“I sang the correct lyrics and said 'kicking the flavour that makes you wanna jump'."

An X Factor spokesperson told Mirror Online: "Honey G did not use any offensive language. She sang the correct lyrics and said 'kicking the flavour that makes you wanna jump'."

Ms Gilford, from north-west London, won a tennis bronze for Britain in the 1995 European Maccabi Games and went to the Maccabiah Games in 1997.
