Sacha Baron Cohen walked the red carpet last night dressed as his alter-ego, Admiral General Aladeen, for the London world premiere of his latest film "The Dictator".

Forsaking black tie, the comic renowned for his risqué publicity stunts strutted down the celebrity-filled carpet in red platforms, military uniform, and a gold gun that he later placed on the head of Harrods owner Mohamed Fayed.

Followed by diamond-glad guards in miniskirts, the character loosely based on Colonel Gaddafi and Saddam Hussain told reporters that he was forced to premiere his film at London's Royal Festival Hall as he was now banned from entering America.

"Normally when I see red carpet, it's because I have beheaded someone in my living room," the General quipped.
