Darren Altman, who sailed through the opening round of ITV's Britain's Got Talent with his celebrity impressions, said: "It's the first time I've done something like that - I'm not an entertainer."
The 43-year-old voiceover artist. who was barmitzvahed at Kingston, Surbiton and District Synagogue, earned a standing ovation from the judges with his impersonations of David Attenborough, Jeremy Clarkson and Boris Johnson.
"It's one thing doing voiceovers in my booth, but it's another thing doing it on stage at the Dominion Theatre in front of Simon Cowell, 3,000 people and an audience at home of nine or 10 million" he said.
He also appears as a drummer in Meryl Streep 's new movie Florence Foster Jenkins.
