One of the YouTubers who risked death on a 183-metre free climb to the top of London’s Canary Wharf has been revealed to be former King Solomon student Harry Gallagher.
The "urban climbing" craze has spread like wildfire on social media and, encouraged by tabloid coverage, climbers are taking ever greater risks in order to gain notoriety.
Gallagher is part of a collective called Night Scape, which has documented stunts at West Ham stadium and the Sidemen tower in east London. Like many other so-called 'urban explorers' he records the highlights of his escapades on YouTube and Instagram.
A Canary Wharf Group spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "We are actively investigating unauthorised entry into One Canada Square, on the Canary Wharf estate.
"Security is taken extremely seriously at Canary Wharf.
"We invest heavily in our security and review the processes on a regular basis.
"Current arrangements have been tightened, while our security procedures are being reviewed and an internal investigation conducted.
"We are working closely with the Metropolitan Police on this matter."
The JC would like to point out that activities of this type are not only illegal, but foolhardy in the extreme and should not be attempted by anyone.
