Daniel Randall is being touted as the Bob Dylan of hip-hop

articlemain

This is Daniel Randall, and you could be seeing a lot more of him if he has his way.

Twenty-three-year-old rapper Mr Randall, aka The Ruby Kid, is an up-and-coming hip-hop artist with his own unique style. He's been compared to Bob Dylan, Allen Ginsberg and Leonard Cohen, and Mr Randall has impressed audiences across the UK. What's more, he is constantly adding new dates to his tour. He tells People: "My stuff is based on all sorts of things. Some of it's quite political and some more abstract."

His work is also heavily influenced by his Jewish background. "My family were Eastern European Jewish immigrant garment workers living in New York, so that also features." Originally from Nottingham, Mr Randall lives in London. Upcoming shows include one at Hoxton's Fishtank Festival on May 28.
