CPS drops factory case

Anti-Israel protesters who occupied a factory during the Gaza conflict will not face prosecution.

Nine demonstrators had been due to go on trial for aggravated trespass after they occupied UAV Engines Ltd's Staffordshire factory over claims that the company sold drone engines to Israel.

The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the case after the company failed to provide details of its exports, and two witnesses refused to appear.
