Corbyn donor backed Palestinian 'moral right to their terrorism'

articlemain

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn accepted £5,000 from a donor who believes that Palestinians have a “moral right” to commit acts of terror.

According to leading Westminster blog Guido Fawkes, Mr Corbyn accepted the donation from Professor Ted Honderich, towards his campaign for leadership of the Labour party in September.

In a 2011 letter in the Guardian, Prof Honderich wrote: “Palestinians have a moral right to their terrorism within historic Palestine against neo-Zionism.”

He added: “Terrorism, as in this case, can as exactly be self-defence, a freedom struggle, martyrdom, the conclusion of an argument based on true humanity.”

Prof Honderich is University College London’s Grote professor emeritus philosophy of mind and logic.
