The Spanish and Portuguese congregation in Wembley has a new rabbi, Daniel Kada, who previously worked for Torah Action Life, an organisation catering for young Jewish professionals.
Rabbi Kada - who studied at yeshivot in Gateshead and Israel - said he was joining "a vibrant and warm" community.
Wembley chair Rony Sabah looked forward to the rabbi's "inspiring leadership".
The synagogue was established more than 40 years ago. It is the third component community of the Spanish & Portuguese Jews' Congregation, alongside Bevis Marks and Lauderdale Road.
