Norwood and Jewish Care establishments have earned top marks in a new national inspection ratings system.
The Commission for Social Care Inspection this week launched a star scheme for Britain’s 4,000 care homes, ranging from three stars for excellent to zero for poor.
Of the first batch to be rated, two Norwood homes in Kenton received three stars, along with Jewish Care’s Jack Gardner House in Golders Green. Other three-star homes were Beis Pinchos (Agudas Israel) in Stoke Newington; Nightingale in Clapham, Donisthorpe Hall in Leeds and Philip Cussins House in Newcastle.
Six other Jewish Care homes received two stars (good), as did three more Norwood homes, plus Heathlands and Brookvale in Manchester and Hannah Levy House in Bournemouth.
