Warsi enjoying being at the Hub of things

articlemain

Conservative Party co-chair Baroness Warsi left JHub with her own pot of Mitzvah Day mint.

On Tuesday, the baroness visited one of the Pears Foundation's flagship projects, which gives office space to faith-based enterprise and social action groups.

Mitzvah Day is one of the resident organisations, along with Tzedek and the Jewish Social Action Forum.

She was shown round the West Hampstead premises by Trevor Pears, executive chair of the foundation, and JHub's director Rabbi Shoshana Boyd Gelfand.

Baroness Warsi said: "JHub is a fantastic example of how to build the capacity and ability to deliver positive social change and social action, and how to bring together different faith groups interested in doing the same."

Rabbi Boyd Gelfand said the baroness was "fascinated about how Jews who have differing views can work together in the same space. She spent some time with Mitzvah Day, speaking to them about the Year of Service we hope to make happen in 2012."
