Tesco has apologised after a “disgusted” customer spotted pork products in the kosher section at one of its Bedfordshire stores.

“It seems to me that if you’re Jewish, nobody really cares,” complained Jeffrey Fearn, 53, after discovering the treif items among the kosher products at the Dunstable Extra branch last week.

“I’m trying my best to keep kosher,” he explained. But it was struggle to access supplies locally.

“All you get are small sections so once a month we go to Golders Green.”

A Tesco spokesperson told the JC: “We’re really sorry that this happened and for any upset caused. We have removed these products from the kosher section and taken steps to make sure it doesn’t happen again.”
