Sweetening charity pot

articlemain

Supporters of Chana, helping Jewish couples with infertility problems, have raised £40,000 by joining friends for a cuppa.

More than 100 "Tea-cember" fundraisers were held in London, Manchester and as far afield as Israel and Australia. Events included an afternoon tea at Little Bicks nursery in Elstree, communal teas at Shenley and Radlett United synagogues and teachers' "Tea-cembers" at Yavneh and JFS.

The charity's Louisa Goott was "delighted that the community has really taken this Chana campaign to their hearts and given so generously. Donations directly help couples struggling with infertility in their quest to have the family they long for."
