Stevenage gets its anniversary scroll

Following its fifth birthday celebrations, Stevenage Liberal Synagogue has reached another landmark, the consecration of its first Torah scroll, purchased with the help of donations from several members.

Around 40 people attended the dedication. Shul chair Gillian Wolfe said that “now that the community at last has its own Torah which we have sought for so long”, it could “move forward together to even greater achievements”.
