One of the oldest bakeries in Stamford Hill will shut up shop today.

Ross Kosher Bakery has served the local community for over 50 years and been a family-run business for 20. But now owner Leslie Cantor has decided to retire.

Shop manager Ellie Cantor, 34, who has been working with his father for 10 years, said the day would be an emotional one for the family. "It really is the end of an era for us, but my family and I feel the time is right to make the next step.

"We've had so many regular customers for many years and they have all sent their good wishes."
The future of the premises has not been resolved.
