Shul offers kids sweet incentive

articlemain

An ice cream kiddush and a takeaway goodie bag are among the incentives to attend new children's Shabbat services at Borehamwood and Elstree Synagogue.

The services are based on the innovative Israeli learning resource, MiBereshit (From the Beginning) and include a weekly worksheet.

Borehamwood and Elstree associate minister Rabbi Boruch Boudilovsky is fronting the local initiative, which is funded by United Synagogue youth wing, Tribe.

"We hope to create a programme into which both children and parents can grow," he said.
