A care home provider is reportedly set to complete its purchase of former Leeds care home Donisthorpe Hall over the next few weeks.
There was shock and anger within the city’s Jewish community after leaders of the home announced in September that it would be closing because of “very significant” financial difficulties.
They said Donisthorpe had struggled to fill empty beds and that the home’s problems had been exacerbated by the pandemic.
The Jewish Telegraph did not report how much the site was sold for but suggested that the purchaser was a care home provider. Surplus monies are expected once creditors are paid.
Administrator David Wilson declined to comment to the JC before a sale was completed.
