British Emunah marked the completion of the Lady J Family Support and Day Care Centre in Akko by presenting a photo album to Shoshana Turner, daughter of the late Lord and Lady Jakobovits, at the charity's Hendon headquarters.
Lady Jakobovits was British Emunah's life president and a staunch supporter of its work in Israel.
More than £260,000 raised by UK donors has enabled the northern Israel centre to open its doors to 80 children, as well as offering parenting skills classes, counselling and family therapy.
British Emunah chair Camille Compton said: "The centre is a fitting tribute to the greatly missed Lady J as she cared so much for the family. We hope she would have been very proud to see the enormous difference the centre is making to the lives of some of Israel's most needy children."
