The government should hold debates with organisations such as Jewish Care when developing future social care policy, according to the Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond.
Speaking at a Jewish Care business breakfast, in central London, this Mr Hammond said: “There needs to be a comprehensive debate with organisations like yours who have detailed knowledge and understanding of the issues as well as with the public themselves
“We need to look at products that help people plan over a lifetime.”
He told the 200 guests that the charity’s model for providing care was an example to the rest of the industry.
