Supporters of Israel's largest voluntary organisation have marked its 35th anniversary by setting up a UK fundraising group.
More than 280 people attended Yad Sarah UK's inaugural dinner in London, raising more than £120,000.
Yad Sarah provides assistance for the disabled, elderly and housebound and the dinner - addressed by former Mossad chief Ephraim Halevy - was a first step in raising awareness. The UK group will focus on funding projects for medical equipment, transportation and the installation of home alarms.
