The Eden Primary free school in Muswell Hill has been rated good in all categories in its first Ofsted report.
Ofsted noted that “in the comparatively short time that the school has been open, pupils have made good progress, especially in reading, writing, mathematics, speaking and listening. Teachers and support staff know the pupils very well and ensure that teaching meets the individual learning needs of each pupil.”
Eden head Jo Sassienie said staff would “continue to strive to improve. The inspector was in no doubt that Eden has the capacity to build on our strengths and become an outstanding school within a short period of time.”
Governors’ chair Peter Kessler was delighted with the findings as “Eden’s ethos has always been to create in our children a joy and excitement about learning and being at school. Achieving so much while the kids are still only in reception and year one is remarkable.”
