Ofsted has awarded an outstanding rating to Bayis Sheli, the Stamford Hill residential and respite home for children and young adults with disability.
After assessing the progress and experience of residents, their safety, and the effectiveness of leaders and managers, the inspectors reported: “The home provides highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good.”
They found that “all children are making exceptional progress with their social skills and overall development”. Their views on all aspects of their lives were considered.
Staff had gone above and beyond the call of duty to support those in their care, with “a clear and detailed understanding of the risks and vulnerabilities for each child”.
Bayis Sheli trustees’chair Jacob Sorotzkin said Ofsted’s findings showed how “our committed and dedicated team, led by Micki Herzog, are devoted to providing the best possible experience for all residents, loved ones and staff. We consistently seek to improve in all that we do and are delighted that this has been demonstrated in Ofsted’s report.”
