An advocacy guide for grassroots supporters of Israel has been developed by the Board of Deputies.
Grassroots Israel Activism: A Toolkit is published by the Fair Play Campaign Group, established by the Board last year to coordinate a response to proponents of an academic boycott of Israel.
The guide is being serialised, with the opening chapter advising on generating positive media coverage and how to respond to bias or imbalance. Future instalments will cover contacts with politicians and charities and internet advocacy.
A Fair Play representative said the project “highlights the close collaboration between the Board of Deputies and other groups who support balanced and informed discussion about Israel”.
