More than 30 UK Jews died from coronavirus in the final two weeks of last year, according to the latest statistics published by the Board of Deputies.
In the week ending January 1, the Board recorded 18 Jewish funerals where coronavirus was registered on death certificates. There were 14 in the previous week.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic, 648 British Jews have died from the virus.
The Board’s figures are based on reports from over 30 Jewish centres around the country.
