Norwood celebrity guest Myleene Klass has framed a JC article about her alleged Jewish heritage.
Ms Klass revealed that the lighthearted “How Jewish is” column published in February 2007 — which assessed her as six per cent Jewish — had a place of honour between her awards and a picture of her with Celine Dion. “It doesn’t get much bigger than that,” she said.
Other famous faces at the dinner included music mogul Simon Cowell, whose guest was Heather Kerzner, wife of South African hotel and gambling magnate Sol Kerzner.
They were on the same table as Topshop boss Sir Philip Green, Express Newspapers owner and Norwood president Richard Desmond and radio presenter Vanessa Feltz. Norwood patron Cherie Blair sat with the charity’s chief executive, Norma Brier. Britain’s Got Talent winners, dance troupe Diversity, provided the entertainment.
The bout of flu which sidelined Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth from the weekend edition also kept him away from the dinner, where he would have been interviewed by Ms Klass. As with the TV show, his replacement was comic Ronnie Corbett.
