Two more London eruvs will be operational for Shabbat UK in November, the United Synagogue has announced.

A pre-launch event for Barnet's eruv is planned for November 1, and will be addressed by key figures in the project.

The previous day, a similar event will be held for the Woodside Park eruv, which will stretch from Barnet in the north to Finchley Central in the south, via Totteridge, Oakleigh Park, Whetstone, West Finchley and Woodside Park.

It will link with the Mill Hill and North-West London eruvs, as well as the Barnet eruv. Naomi Cohen from the Woodside Park eruv committee said "it is gratifying that, after more than 10 years, we will be able to launch the eruv on Shabbat UK".
