Jack and Rivka Cohen are Mill Hill East Jewish Community’s new rabbinic couple, their appointment having been approved by members.

Currently associate rabbi at Hampstead United Synagogue, Rabbi Cohen holds a philosophy degree from University College London. His wife is a software developer who studied maths and philosophy at King’s College London. The couple have two young sons.

The Cohens are expected to join Mill Hill East in February. They said they were “incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity. We are really looking forward to working with this vibrant and engaged community.”

Community chairs Chloe Prager and James Neidle said the Cohens’ “ability to provide inspiring modern Jewish leadership, together with warm and sensitive pastoral support, makes them an ideal couple to take MHEJC into its next chapter”.
