Mental health charity Jami raised a record £200,000 from a dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel.

The work of Jami was highlighted by service users Sophia Levi and Jose Grayson, who told the 250 guests how it had help-ed them to cope with mental illness. Former British ambassador to Washington, Sir Nigel Sheinwald, was the guest of honour.

Jami chief executive Laurie Rackind said the charity was working to diminish “the stigma of mental health. Thanks to our donors, we can continue to further develop our service provision for the community.”
