A 19-month-old Manchester toddler has suffered an unexplained death.
Orly Feddy, a pupil at North Cheshire Jewish Primary’s nursery, was pronounced dead at Wythenshawe Hospital after her parents, who are both doctors, found her unresponsive in her bed on Monday night. The Manchester coroner has opened and adjourned an inquest to discover the cause of death, but the death is not being treated as suspicious. Hospital staff were unable to establish the cause of death.
The family are members of the Sephardi Congregation of South Manchester whose Rabbi Amir Ellituv said: “Everyone is consumed with grief, shock and sadness.”
The funeral took place on Wednesday at Southern Cemetery.
