Liverpool says thanks

articlemain

Merseyside Jewish Community Care hailed its 250 volunteers at a ceremonial lunch in conjunction with Liverpool Council for Voluntary Services.

More than 80 of the volunteers attended the welfare charity's event at Allerton Hebrew Congregation where they were praised by former Board of Deputies' vice-president Rosalind Preston and Merseyside Jewish Representative Council president Gordon Globe who is also an MJCC trustee.

MJCC chief executive Lisa Dolan said: "The commitment and loyalty shown by MJCC's volunteers through the decades has been nothing short of remarkable as the numbers supporting our welfare charity have grown. We can only deliver the range of services provided because skilled, reliable and dedicated people are so generous and willing to give up their time."
