A major tie-up between hi-tech companies in Cheshire and Israel has been sparked by a Tel Aviv visit by a science park delegation arranged by the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce North West.

The visitors were from Sci-Tech Daresbury, whose Dr Paul Treloar said afterwards that potential joint projects included a safety camera for cars that could read road signs and warn drivers of speed limits and accidents ahead. Another was to produce some of the world's fastest computer wires.

"We are delighted to be able to rapidly follow up the visit by hosting a visit from the UK-Israel Tech Hub this month. And we look forward to hosting a delegation of Israeli technology companies later in the year to progress relationships that we started in Israel."
