Liberals expand outreach team

articlemain

Liberal Judaism is expanding its outreach team to meet what movement chief executive Rabbi Danny Rich describes as “overwhelming demand from existing communities and unaffiliated individuals and groups”.

The team of five will be augmented by student rabbi Benji Stanley, who will focus on students and young adults, and youth co-ordinator Sam Grant.

Team leader Rabbi Anna Gerrard deals with community development, Ariel Friedlander is chaplain, Cantor Gershon Silins is musical consultant, Rabbi Sandra Kviat is education co-ordinator and Adva Sapir is shlicha (Israel emissary).

Rabbi Gerrard looked forward “to getting out into the communities, learning more about their unique characters and discovering new ways that Liberal Judaism, as a national movement, can support them through collaborative projects”.
