Liberal Judaism chief executive Rabbi Danny Rich highlighted some of the movement’s recent successes at its Council of Patrons dinner at the House of Lords.

Lord Fink, Lord Haskel and Brooks Newmark MP were among guests at the annual thank-you to key funders.

Reporting on the affiliation of three new communities, Rabbi Rich added: “It might be true to say that the last couple of years have not been easy ones. There have been financial challenges, personnel difficulties and the request to do more with less.

“And yet having just examined our latest membership statistics, I’m pleased to tell you that most of our constituent members have grown in size.”
