Manchester's King David Primary School has received glowing inspection reports, with Ofsted impressed by the successful completion of a complex merger of junior and infant schools.
The two sections, with a total of 422 pupils, merged in September 2010. The primary then moved to the £22 million premises shared with King David High.
Ofsted rated the primary as "good", with "examples of outstanding practice" in its teaching. "The head-teacher's strong sense of purpose has been central to the school's success since the merger."
The school has also received an "outstanding" Pikuach report for its Jewish studies provision.
In a statement, the school noted that "the mammoth task of moving from our old buildings and settling in the pupils in our new surroundings is something to be proud of. Year six pupils attained wonderful SATs results, finishing 18th in the country."
