JLGB earns its stars and stripes

Everything was fine and Yankee doodle dandy as the Jewish Lads' and Girls' Brigade adopted an American theme for its summer camp, held near Colchester.

Sixty Israelis joined more than 300 JLGB members from across the country for "Camp USA". Features included an America's Got Talent competition, a "Superbowl" contest complete with cheerleaders and a "colour war" challenge testing sporting ability and teamwork.

Furthering the American influence, US embassy cultural attache Karen Huntress joined brigade president Lord Levy among special guests at open day.
