Jewish primary schools emerged as some of the country’s highest performers when the Sats league tables were released last week.
The top five performing Jewish schools, calculated by average points scored, were: King David Manchester, Moriah Jewish Day School in Pinner, North Cheshire Jewish Primary, Independent Jewish Day and Menorah Primary.
According to the 2012 league tables Manchester’s King David was the 19th top performing school nationally, rising above other top Jewish primaries, London’s Moriah and Cheadle’s North Cheshire primaries which ranked 50 and 54, based on average point score for the exams in English and maths.
King David Schools governors’ chair Joshua Rowe believed the new £22 million campus helped increase performance but also paid tribute to teachers and “highly motivated pupils and parents.
