Jewish Care’s 100th Business Breakfast on Monday raised a record-breaking £120,000, with the help of Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt MP

In his keynote address, Hunt said it was a “pleasure” to attend, and paid tribute to Jewish Care, and its “staff and the volunteers who do truly outstanding work each day supporting older people and their families relying on the charity’s vital services in the Jewish community.”

Lord Howard Leigh, Chairman of Jewish Care’s Business Breakfast Committee, told the 220 guests that Jewish Care was grateful to sponsors and supporters for helping reach this milestone, and that it was “very fitting for our 100th breakfast that we raised a record-breaking sum.”

Jewish Care CEO, Daniel Carmel-Brown, said: “We are hugely appreciative of the donations received today which will go towards our core services.” He thanked donors, sponsors, the chancellor, the committee and Lord Leigh.

He added, “World events and the cost-of-living crisis continue to exert pressure on all of us and Jewish Care is no exception. We rely on the support of our community during these difficult times to keep our vital services running for all those who need us.”

The event took place at Mansion House and was sponsored by JB Drax Honoré.
