A pupil at Immanuel College in Bushey has achieved the top grade in the country for GCSE Photography.

Eva Lobb, 16, received 100% in her photography GCSE and was told by the school that she'd received the highest marks in the UK.

Eva told the JC: “I try to look for the beauty in normal things, and where I can, I try to capture special moments, be they sad, happy, or poignant.”

She especially enjoys playing with textures and various compositions of light.
The process, including editing in the studio, “relaxes” her and “was great in helping take my mind off the actual exams.”

It evidently did help, as she received five nines, the highest possible grades for her GCSEs, including for photography. Eva has dyslexia, and says that photography gives her “the potential to help me think outside the box, to picture things and shapes, before the picture is taken”.
