Jessica Blooman has been named Bournemouth’s Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her work for local Jewish home Hannah Levy House. Mrs Blooman — a trustee of the home for 15 years — said that “volunteering is part of my life so I don’t expect any reward.
The success of the home is due to the wonderful staff.” The Bournemouth Reform Synagogue congregant moved to the town in 1983 from Berkshire, where she was chief probation officer.
