Highgate United Synagogue celebrated its first Shabbat in its newly built synagogue, with seating for 60 more congregants, a dedicated library, an enlarged hall and two extra cheder classrooms.
"This is the shul the wonderfully warm Highgate Synagogue community deserves," Rabbi Nicky Liss said. "It meets the needs of our growing community and we are also now much better able to accommodate wheelchair users." Highgate School hosted services during the building period.
